چکیده

In this paper, we review recent results of ours concerning branching processes with general lifetimes and neutral mutations, under the infinitely many alleles model, where mutations can occur either at birth of particles or at a constant rate during their lives. In both models, we study the allelic partition of the population at time t. We give closed-form formulae for the expected frequency spectrum at t and prove pathwise convergence to an explicit limit, as t→ +∞, of the relative numbers of types younger than some given age and carried by a given number of particles (small families). We also provide convergences in distribution of the sizes or ages of the largest families and of the oldest families. In the case of exponential lifetimes, population dynamics are given by linear birth and death processes, and we can most of the time provide general formulations of our results unifying both models.

Mimimal Relative Entropy Martingale Measure of Birth and Death Process

In this article, we investigate the MEMM (Minimal relative Entropy Martingale Measure) of Birth and Death processes and the MEMM of generalized Birth and Death processes. We see that the existence problem of the MEMM is reduced to the problem of solving the corresponding Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation.

Fluctuations Analysis of Finite Discrete Birth and Death Chains with Emphasis on Moran Models with Mutations

The Moran model is a discrete-time birth and death Markov chain describing the evolution of the number of type 1 alleles in an haploid population with two alleles whose total size N is preserved during the course of evolution. Bias mechanisms such as mutations or selection can affect its neutral dynamics. For the ergodic Moran model with mutations, we get interested into the fixation probabilit...

Splitting trees with neutral mutations at birth

We consider a population model where individuals behave independently from each other and whose genealogy is described by a chronological tree called splitting tree. The individuals have i.i.d. (non-exponential) lifetime durations and give birth at constant rate to clonal or mutant children in an infinitely many alleles model with neutral mutations. First, to study the allelic partition of the ...

L\'evy processes with marked jumps II : Application to a population model with mutations at birth

Consider a population where individuals give birth at constant rate during their lifetimes to i.i.d. copies of themselves. Individuals bear clonally inherited types, but (neutral) mutations may happen at the birth events. The smallest subtree containing the genealogy of all the extant individuals at a fixed time τ is called the coalescent point process. We enrich this process with the history o...

Stochastic modeling of density-dependent diploid populations and extinction vortex

We model and study the genetic evolution and conservation of a population of diploid hermaphroditic organisms, evolving continuously in time and subject to resource competition. In the absence of mutations, the population follows a 3-type nonlinear birth-and-death process, in which birth rates are designed to integrate Mendelian reproduction. We are interested in the long term genetic behaviour...
